Any decent alternatives to your pillow out there? Or any chance it comes back?

Operatic post, thank you.

I had joked with the fam about chaining sky portals all over the house but this seems like it ultimately doesn't work and frustrated you as well. Chroma Sky Light looks legendary. I do follow you on twitter and would be interested in the lower power (300-400W) one you mentioned there as well for smaller spaces. Would instantly get that, I think.

I appreciated so much in there it's hard to call out a few salient points, but to say that I cheered out loud for the pro-human perspective amidst a world of "progressive" ideals which are really just Neo-Malthusian. The aside on the hand-dryer in Starbucks hit hard.

I loved all the details on why CRI can be easily manipulated, CCR vs. PWM, and melanopic lux, etc. BTW, in case anyone ever asks for a reference on some of your claims, there are of course many but this is a pretty concise one. NPG family and open access, and all that as well: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-21755-7

Curious about your remarks on composite currencies. I hold BTC of course but I also have some USD in my crypto wallet. Isn't having USD accessible via a crypto wallet some level of this? Or do you truly mean a blended currency that titrates down to pure BTC over time?

ps I looked up the Bugatti made of mud. I thought you were joking.

Wow really excited about the Sky Light, was just looking for a product like this

Some questions though, with that much power/heat, the heatsink is gonna be chonky, so will there be a fan too? Sounds like the light is gonna be loud, haha would really prefer if it didn't sound like my Ironforge/Lux Vital..

Also, do you think there would be a way to mount this to a wall or have a shorter pole and narrower base so that it could sit on a desk? Looks like it's going to primarily be a floor lamp with a pretty wide base. I was hoping to have something like this as a wall lamp and not take up my floorspace

Fanless for silent operation and maximum reliability. Communication on my error if even a single person would imagine we mean anything other than that so my apologies.

No other mounting options for now. Desk is not the right place for it. Weighs ~65 lbs.

Wall might be an option 2026.

"I let go of mass efficiency, and a total silent, 10x heavier, massive block aluminum heat sink that we CNC machined for the prototype seemed quite sensible."

ah i see, sorry about that, when i read this i wasn't sure if you were only letting go "of mass efficiency" or also the idea that it'd be "total silent" haha

You're right. Somewhat sloppy, unedited writing, my bad.

Everyone does. Not bad value, but not doing anything novel with form factor.

It's sort of like having to shoot the dog you love -- I mentioned them because I didn't want to, if that makes sense.

The day someone comes out that can put us in the same relative position, I will try to die with honor.
